Welcome to Thinker, Jaclyn Kolodziej

Welcome to Thinker, Jaclyn Kolodziej

If you have ever worked out at Crossfit SuperCell, you may have met Jaclyn. She is one of the trainers, and she’s a master at getting you to push to levels you didn’t believe you could reach. That’s a transferable skill and if you come in to Thinker you’ll likely see Jaclyn (pictured below with her husband, Josh), who is joining the team as project manager. Her job is to make sure the rest of us stay on task and on time.

Here’s what you should know about Jaclyn.

What do you do for fun?

I enjoy going to concerts, spending time with friends and family and finding creative projects to do around the house.

What’s your favorite place in Illinois?

I grew up off of Lake Michigan in East Chicago, Indiana. Chicago was very accessible. My favorite place in Illinois would be off the city on a boat on Lake Michigan.

What’s your favorite place in the world?

Home. Although the world is full of many great places I feel the best when I am with the ones I love the most in the place I call my home.

What is something people are surprised to learn about you?

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in religious studies.

What is the best advice you have received?

Don’t give too much information to journalists! Just kidding. I’m not sure if I’ve received the BEST advice of my life just yet. I try to be myself, be honest, and kind.

If you could take two weeks off from all your responsibilities, where would you go and what would you do?

The last week of March was spent driving through Oregon visiting with friends and exploring what this state has to offer. I loved every moment of that. I like to relax and have new experiences so two weeks of that sounds pretty good to me.

What distinguishes you from everyone else?

I am genuinely honest and wholeheartedly support and stand up for the people I am closest to.

Your biggest challenge?

I like having the space to be authentically me. My biggest challenge is knowing that there are others who for whatever reason can’t allow for me to just be me without having their own opinions on the matter.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

How much time do you have? I still dream of being a badass rapper.
